The foam roof has been on for about 1 week. Here are some photos of the roof. It looks like snow. Very bright and reflective. The foam roof is about 3x more expensive than a conventional tar and gravel roof. But it is considered to be a "cool roof" meaning that it has insulating capabilities. This roof will keep our place cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Because this roof is still considered "unconventional" it was very difficult finding a contractor. While we contracted with one, he was so busy that he delayed us by 3 weeks. In the end we fired him, and found another one before the big storms came. This entire process made us lose time as the electrician couldn't do his work until a roof was on.
